Challenge
To create any type of media submission (dance, animation, etc.) responding to the given prompt “You’re only going to be as wise as the relationships that you have.”– Lecrae. The media competition was hosted by a nonprofit called BeStill Media.
Award
With over 120 submissions, was awarded a finalist.
Rationale
This project is a deeply personal reflection of my experience in 2020. In the midst of covid-19 lockdown, I saw my mother face an aggressive out-of-the-blue cancer, job layoffs, and a close friend fall into a bad organization.
It’s so easy to despair.
However, I’m blessed with my community, whose support and love enabled a persistent resilience. They are an embodiment of God’s promise to be close during trials.
And ultimately, that even through suffering – His love for me Has never changed.
Working together with my sister, we bridged our unique talents together to paint the impact of strong relationships.
